Andres S. Shoot forgot to put down, this was ORIGINALLY going to be an audio file as this was a lot of text to put down and I didn't want you guys to sit through text walls. But I don't think you guys would object to those so text it will be. I'll save something like that for the future ;)

Andres S.

Andres S. And this has been approved on August 3rd, SO you guys have up until and including August 10th to complete it!

Dave Robjohns Just to check, is that August 10th 5am BST? (i.e. realistically 9th August for most of us :P )

Andres S.

Andres S. I'm including the August 10th that you guys have as I'm fairly positive that encompasses the whole week. So I believe that should be August 11th at 5am BST to make sure.

Mervyn Tong

Mervyn Tong I’m a bit confused about how eliminations work - if what matters is what % of the max score we achieve, rather than whether we win or lose our game, how many are eliminated each round?

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier It's two people eliminated each round based on % of max as I understand it.

Andres S. Just as a reminder, today is now the LAST DAY for you guys to do your games! I'll accept scheduling past tonight - just e-mail me about it so that I don't forget - but other than that, it's time to wrap things up for Round 2 soon!

Tourney round: Make The Odds: Round #2

<< Round #1 | Round #3 >>

Notes from the organizer: Hello everyone! Thank you all for sticking around thus far because for this announcement, we have a LOT to go over. Let’s start by addressing eliminations.

Due to inactivity, the following people that have been eliminated are: Hazel Drury, Tom Cappleman, Johnny Canuck, Maria Chandler, Edward Ashcroft, and Alan O'Sullivan. To add on from that, this now leaves the teams being lop-sided, with Red have 14 to Blue’s 12. So the easy thing to do was to move a Red team member to the Blue, and that randomly chosen person is… John Doherty!

Now let’s get onto some news about Round 1. In that round, George Armstrong took the top seat with a staggering 97 percent - four points off the max score - as well as spotting two nines, maxing out all four numbers rounds, and a one-second conundrum solve to secure it. Of course, that doesn’t mean his opponent put up a bad fight with Jason Turner being comfortably placed in the middle with a 74 percentile to continue. Second and third for Round 1 go to Barry Evans and Wesley Barton respectively with 116 points each, but there was more to grab on Wesley’s game as he was nine points off compared to Barry’s six. For everyone else, the final ratios were very diverse as there was an average of 74.19 percent. The highest max overall was a huge 156, thanks to three nines being up for grabs as well as a handful of eights.

Well that’s that for the first round, now let’s go on to round two. Once again, keep your eyes on chat for when the deadline hits, it’s most likely going to be a week after approval but I may be away for a few days. And just so that we’re all on the same page because I’ve seen a message relating to this a bit, the “Runs From” section of the tournament page DOES NOT show the deadline; it was simply put as November 5th as that was an estimated guess on when the tournament would fully end, and it might get nearer now due to the cut. Regardless however, most of you do check in and I thank you for doing so. If you have ANY questions about something I didn’t go over, please message me and I will get back to you when possible. For now that’s a wrap on this audio, now get out there and make the odds!
