![]() | Rhys Benjamin I prioritised the Dave/Tass rematch avoidance as I couldn't really find a fair way to avoid the Group D rematch (in hindsight maybe I should have done the groups differently) but as C has a higher seed my aim was if the thing fell true to form the highest x seeds would get as far as possible, so C1 (#3) took precedence over D1 (#4). Admittedly a huge cock-up on my part but this was the fairest thing I could do. |
Notes from the organizer: Since we've got all the Group Stage games done early, you have extra time for your quarter final!
This is the winners' bracket, with the seedings done as follows:
1st: A1
2nd: B1
3rd: C1
4th: D1
5th-8th: second-placed group finishers, ranked by wins and points.
To avoid the Dave/Tass rematch, I'm going to give Bradley the 10 points from his tiebreakers and put him in at 6. My tourney, my rules...
5th: Toby McDonald (D2)
6th: Bradley Horrocks (A2)
7th: Matthew Tassier (C2)
8th: Apterous Soap (B2)
That means, we have:
Apterous Rex (A1) (1) vs Apterous Soap (B2) (8)
Toby McDonald (D2) (5) vs Jamie French (D1) (4)
Dave Robjohns (C1) (3) vs Bradley Horrocks (A2) (6)
Matthew Tassier (C2) (7) vs Rhys Benjamin (B1) (2)
Ran from: 21 December 2020 – 3 January 2021. Format: Spoilage 9. Matches: One-off. Approved.
Fixtures: 4. Completed: 4.
