Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Our final round this tourney will unsurprisingly be on 24th Dec, where we'll play Omelette 15s (national eggnog day)

This round will be worth double points. As it stands, you will all be playing Rex. You have the remaining days to earn yourself special bonuses and make your bot easier! Tick off all 7 other bots and you'll be playing Prune on the final day.

Our first opportunity is simple - if you (legally) submit the name of a different bot, you'll tick that off. This does not have to be a maximum, but does have to score. Prime, Velvet, Plum, Nude & Prune are all words, so look out for these! You can tick these off in any order, so if you get Prune and Plum here you'll still be down to face Rex, but there will be more opportunities and you'll only have 5 more bots to get. If you manage to get Prime here, you'll definitely be safe from Rex in R24.

The above will hopefully make more sense as we go along...

This is also where live events come in!

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Tomorrow (15th Dec) evening, there will be potential mayhem as we bring back a single conundrum round robin, including everyone who's around at the time and Caesar. This is your chance to get Caesar - everyone finishing above Caesar in the final table will tick this off.

I'll open signups at 7:30, with the madness starting at 8pm.

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns And the standard R15 bonuses:
Letters - score with a 9 or longer
Numbers - pick 4L, max all three rounds
Conundrums - Fastest
Pencil - 1 pt

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Reminder that this afternoon at 8 there'll be a conundrums round robin (open to all)

Tom Cappleman

Tom Cappleman Are there going to be other opportunities to get Caesar? (And how long is the range that you consider to be afternoon?)

Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey dave's eyes are the size of the moon

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns I am absolutely making this up as I go along but I will tentatively say yes, I'm sure I'll think of something!

George Armstrong

George Armstrong OOC, does tonight's conundrum stuff count towards the tourney?

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Not directly for points, but it could impact which bot you'll play in the final round (which is worth double points)

George Armstrong

George Armstrong Aye, was just about to type that. I am a giddy goat. OOC will there be another opportunity for those who can't make it to knock Caesar off their lists?

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Yeah as said to T-Cap, tentatively yes. I'll try to think of something we can do that isn't live too

George Armstrong

George Armstrong Cool :)

Oliver Garner

Oliver Garner Bringing the field back closer together!

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns An interesting round, with some of the front runners faltering and some others making progress through the field with good scores.

Aegi cons are tough, so well done to bonus points master T-Cap for getting the fastest (1.1s), as well as being the only one to secure a numbers point. Both Daves, Martin, Maus & Ian get letters bonuses this round.

Nobody strictly got any special bonus, but Hazel declared nude (non scoring) so I'll give her that

Today's top 5;
139 - Thomas Cappleman
137 - Dave Robjohns
126 - Martin Thomas
126 - Thomas Carey
125 - Ian Volante

Overall top 5:
338 - Oliver Garner
334 - Dave Robjohns
329 - Thomas Carey
326 - Bradley Horrocks
320 - Martin Thomas

Today's result really spices things up, with less than a round separating the top 5. Congrats also to Ian for getting a top 5 stage for the first time.

Damian McEvoy

Damian McEvoy Hi Dave, I declared prime in Round 1 of my game

Adam Dexter

Adam Dexter @Damian, I think it has to score. As Nude beat you it didn't score :( Feel free to correct if wrong Dave :)

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Strictly speaking it did, but nobody legally got it so I decided Damian and Hazel's attempts (declaring it but non scoring) were both good enough
