For clarity in this one, everyone was seeded by their normal rating at the start of the event (as opposed to the random draws for other events)

πŸ₯‡ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ Jack Worsley
πŸ₯ˆ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Joseph H
πŸ₯‰ πŸ‡πŸ‡Ί Sam Cappleman-Lynes
A quality event that followed seedings remarkably well; our 8 quarter finalists were top 9 seeds. Jack moves up to 2nd overall with tight 13-12 wins in both final and semi. We’re now down to our final match of the whole tourney!

Tourney round: Aptolympics 2020: Event 26: Archery

<< Event 25: Judo | Event 27: Surfing >>

Notes from the organizer: Event 26 of the Aptolympics is Archery. Archery is all about hitting the target, so only maxes here will count.

This tournament will be a straight knockout featuring everyone. There's only 4 weeks for the whole thing, so I'm aiming to make each round about 5 days - deadlines will be next to games.

Fun fact: Archery has hardly changed in over 3000 years, and is the national sport of Bhutan. Back in 1904 it was the first Olympic sport where women were allowed to compete.

Ran from: 5 July – 2 August 2020. Format: Maxes-only 15 Rounder. Matches: One-off. Approved.

Organizers: Dave Robjohns.

Fixtures: 29. Completed: 29.
