Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Event 9 of 66 completed and we do indeed have 3 brand new medalists:

πŸ₯‡ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Jason Larsen
πŸ₯ˆ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Jake Gander
πŸ₯‰ πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί Matty Artell

A tough round, only 13/33 beating their bot. Special mentions to Jack for coming 5th despite having Prime (5 sub 1s solves for Prime) and Andy who comes 4th, only missing out on total solve time.

Jason Larsen

Jason Larsen I got a gold medal? Hooray!

Tourney round: Aptolympics 2020: Event 10: Skateboarding

<< Event 10: Slalom Canoeing | Event 11: Heptathlon >>

Notes from the organizer: Well it didn't take long for me to mess up on the numbering...

The *real* event 10 is Skateboarding. Skateboarding is a brand new Olympic sport, and will be done via a Speed Junior Conundrum Attack (Junior as it's a young sport, Speed as it's fasted paced) in a Beat Your Bot style (because you do various tricks at your own chosen level).

You'll play one game against the bot closest to your normal rating but above it (except nobody will play Rex). The highest score takes home 4 gold medals.

In the case of a tie, your total solve time for correct solves is what counts.

Fun fact: GB were set to send 12 year old Sky Brown to compete, as she's in the top 12 of world rankings. She would have been GB's youngest ever Olympian (previously 13yo swimmer in 1928). She actually had a horrific fall in May landing on her head from some height, but fortunately should be able to recover before the real Olympics, even if the record is gone.

Ran from: 27 June – 3 July 2020. Format: Speed Junior Conundrum Attack. Matches: One-off. Level scores: Tie-breakers played. Approved.

Organizers: Dave Robjohns.

Fixtures: 36. Completed: 35.
