Dave Robjohns Divisions will be going up shortly, just wanted to make clear how I'll be adding in new players:

I think a key facet of the league which makes it appealing is the fact you're grouped with players of similar ability. Several new high rated players have applied to join the league, and them moving through the divisions would create a lot of mismatches in D3-D5, additionally denying players here much chance at promotion.

To counter this, I will be adding some players in higher than D5, with the following rules:
(1) - No player will ever be given a free pass to the Premier League, the highest they can join is D2.
(2) - No existing player will be left worse off (e.g. if someone would've been in D2, I won't move them to D3 to make way for high rater)
(3) - Divisions will be maxed at 10 players
(4) - The number of p/r places may change as a result, but this will always be clearly stated.

This seems the fairest way to keep all games fun! All divisions confirmed after deadline in a

Dave Robjohns Final few hours now for any last minute signups. Any more will head to D4/D5, the top 3 divisions are now full at 10.

If it stays as is, the league has increased from 39 to 46 this season - the average rating has also increased by 42.

In terms of divisions, Dan and Richard have been reprieved on losing their playoffs to make the divisions the right sizes. The 9 new players slot in with 2 in D2, 2 in D3, 1 in D4 and 4 in D5, basically on ratings, to keep things as even as possible.

I've added in the first 2 rounds of matches so they'll be good to go from tomorrow. The other games will gradually pop up over the next couple of days whenever I need a thrilling revision break.

P/R spaces will be decided shortly and added to the divisions which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l_AbtQ_vCCYG08LcrHsbZrBY7BR4ZtuVGgm9RGzKHqY/edit#gid=1242889594

Tourney round: AptoLeague: Season 2 Sign-ups and Playoffs

<< Division 5 | Season 1 Handicap Cup >>

Notes from the organizer: AptoLeague returns at the start of June for a second season!

For those unfamiliar with the format, it works as a league system, with promotions and relegations at the end of each 'season' (approx. 1 month, as it stands).

Season 2 will begin on 1st June, with matches able to take place until 2nd July, after which there will be 2 weeks of playoffs/signups for Season 3.

Players involved in Season 1 will automatically be entered for this season provided they've played at least half their games, I'll be in contact with the rest.

The entry/division list can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l_AbtQ_vCCYG08LcrHsbZrBY7BR4ZtuVGgm9RGzKHqY/edit#gid=0
