Andy SC Christmas present for this week was - -0.5 Points for any time a D, I, R or T appears in valid word declared by a player in a letters round. However if you declare any word that contains D, I, R and T in it you don’t lose any points for every D, I, R or T that appears. If you declare two words that contain D, I, R and T then you gain 0.5 Points for every D, I, R or T that appears in valid words that you declared.

Ian Volante Ayem -0.5 for every D, I, R or T, but you don't lose any points for every D, I, R, T...it's not making sense to me.
Andy SC It was -0.5 points for every D, I, R or T. However if you declared a valid word that contained all of those letters then you did not lose any points. Further to that, if declared two words contained all those letters you gained +0.5 points for every D, I, R or T that appeared in the words you declared that were valid - Do you understand?
Ian Volante Ah, it was the 'all' that I wasn't getting. I read it as an or rather than an and.
Matty Artell I now understand the mechanic, I still don't understand why
Andy SC Because I am a scrooge, Matty. |
