Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre Just to reiterate a point made in chat with the draw.

Conor chose to withdraw after playing his last round match. I feel that's a bit harsh on his opponent, so instead of leaving a bye, or contriving a "lucky loser" format, I've reinstated T-Cap to the competition.

Ian Birdman What about his first round opponent!

Although looking at those first 2 matches, I think I'm actually pretty happy to just get the popcorn out :-)

Callum Todd

Callum Todd Jack vs Ell already :o

Elliott Mellor

Elliott Mellor Was always going to be a close encounter that. Jack played absolutely superbly and, although I did kind of throw it away at the end, he's a terrific player and a worthy quarter finalist. Top bloke, too.

That said, I'm retiring from apterous I think, at least for now. Mainly to focus on other things (studying for one). I might still pop on every now and again but I think I need a hiatus. I've had a great run, met some great people and I wish everyone still in the tourney the best of luck. It was superbly organised and it's been great fun being here.

Jim M

Jim M is there any plan to finish this?

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre Yeah, sorry - been dealing with other things.

I'll try to get my arse in gear v. soon.
