Notes from the organizer: The Apterous 10th Birthday Championship will take place as a live event over two consecutive evenings, Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th August 2018.

Finals night will coincide with the 10th Anniversary of the first ever match played on Apterous https://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1

Play will commence on each day at 8pm, although players will be allowed until 8.30pm to start their first match and 15 minutes for each subsequent match.

Matches will be standard (current) 15 Rounders and will all be Best of 3, with the exception of the Final which will be Best of 5. The draw will be unseeded.

Sign-ups will close on this page at 6.30pm Tuesday 7th August but will re-open in the room between 7.30pm-8.00pm.

Please ensure that you are available on the specified dates before signing up for this tournament.

If you enter the tournament and are subsequently unable to attend please either withdraw your sign-up or drop me an Aptomail before 6.30pm Tuesday 7th August.

Whilst late entries will be accepted in the room up to 8pm on Tuesday 7th it would be preferable if you could enter on this page. The draw will be made between 6.30pm-7.30pm on Tuesday 7th with provision for late entries. Whilst some fixtures will be loaded prior to 8pm the full draw will not be released until such time as late entries have closed.

Until some idea of competitor numbers is known this cannot be confirmed, but I would anticipate that Wednesday 8th August will commence with the Quarter-Finals. Further statements are made on this loose assumption.

Should a Quarter-Final or Semi-Final pairing wish to continue play on Tuesday 7th this would be acceptable providing that both players can guarantee their attendance on Wednesday 8th. The Final must not take place before Wednesday 8th August.

Lottie’s Lottery : To ensure that no less than 8 players compete on Finals Day, in the event that any Quarter-Finalist is unable to (or fails to) attend on Wednesday 8th, Lottie’s Lottery will be open to all losers in the previous round. To be eligible for entry in Lottie’s Lottery (if applicable) you must be present in the room between 8.15pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 8th August.
