Marcus Hares

Marcus Hares Congrats to team Germany (Matthew Brockwell/Ben Hocking) who come from behind to snatch a 3-2 win over team Great Britain (Amie Bateen/Ian Volante) and advance to the SF

Marcus Hares

Marcus Hares Rather disappointingly none of the other fixtures were completed fully and in one case no games were played at all so I'm awarding walkovers in those matches. Congrats to teams Australia (Zarte Siempre/Heather Styles), Brazil (Jordan F/Jason Turner) and Belgium (Stephen R/Bojack Horseman) who all go through to the SF.

Tourney round: Apterous Davis Cup 2015: Quarter Finals - Singles

<< Round 1 (Doubles) | Quarter FInals - Doubles >>

Notes from the organizer: The inaugural Apterous Davis Cup is a spin-off to the main Apterous ATP Tour.

Any player who had entered a tournament in the main tour was offered the chance to compete in this new team event. The 32 players who took up the offer were assigned a random team.

This competition will closely follow the dates and format for the actual Davis Cup - there will be 4 singles matches and 1 doubles match. There are 2 players on each team.

The singles matches are single Standard 15 rounder games - simply the player who wins a singles match will earn 1pt for the team.
The doubles matches are single Standard 9 rounder games - 2 players from each team will compete in the doubles matches and play a single game against each of the members of the opposite team. The winners from the doubles match will be the team whose aggregate score across the 4 games is the higher and will earn 1pt for the team.

The teams with the most points at the end of the 5 matches will progress to the next round.

Up to date results will be posted daily on the main website here - http://marcusbunnyuk.wix.com/atp2015#!apterous-davis-cup/cljj
