Adam Finlay REALISED SOMETHING:
| |
Adam Finlay CLARIFICATION:
| |
Adam Finlay Created a Challonge page too http://challonge.com/Babegilops
| |
Ian Volante Here's our second match (me with James L: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1450293 no rematch button appeared, not sure if that affected which way round we played. I assume we post second match results here?
Adam Finlay Yeah, it appears there doesn't seem to be a rematch button at the end of the game. As long as you do the 2nd game straightaway I think it should be perfectly fine :) Also, if this is done, there isn't a great need to send me the games as I can just click on one of the opponent's next game button :)
Adam Finlay Cheers anyways :)
Ian Volante The rematch appeared after the second one. I suppose logically, it wouldn't appear, as any reverse fixture would be assumed to be in the tourney listing as well.
Adam Finlay Ah. I was worried that i'd mess up the reversing as it sometimes didn't come up with the Player 1, Player 2 order I put in.
Zarte Siempre Adam - the tournament games always play in the order you put them in, but they reorder themselves in the list. I think the player who has been on the site the longest ends up showing on the left.
Adam Finlay That should prove useful for the knockout stage :) cheers for the reassurance. I was just not willing to risk making mistakes.
Chris Marshall http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1451035
Chris Marshall http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1451635
Adam Finlay Danke schön Chris!
| |
Adam Finlay Challonge: http://challonge.com/Babegilops
| |
Jim B My second games against Thomas and Ian: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1452272 and http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1452297
Jon Stitcher Mine and Phyl's second game.
| |
Adam Finlay Thanks guys!
| |
Phyl Styles Jon said we had drawn our matches - that's what he assured me, that no matter who got the tie-break conundrum it would be a draw??
George Ford yeah! that's true
Phyl Styles oh, as long as someone knows how to score it, that's fine
Adam Finlay Apologies. I realise I haven't been particularly explicit about my thought processes on this topic:
| |
Phyl Styles Think I was stitchered up :(
Adam Finlay Hehe. Do people have any more questions on things they are unclear about/things which I have not explained at all?
Adam Finlay GROUP E now have all games played. This means Zarte is 100% through! Well done!
| |
Adam Finlay You did win the prize of getting all 4 games done first, however!
Matty Artell #IMayBeShitButAtLeastI'mPunctual c:
Jon Stitcher My apologies to Phyl and Adam. I'm more than happy for my game with Phyl to be classed as a draw as that was my understanding before the game was played.
George Ford That doesn't make sense !!!!!!!!!!!!!
| |
Ian Volante Yes they do! One of mine certainly did.
George Ford no that's only if they're normal games that are post-added, don't lie to me
George Ford for continuity games that are added here that were normal games but are now tourney games should have tiebreaks ignored
George Ford wait have times changed
George Ford ok I withdraw from this conversation
Adam Finlay I'll make an exception for Jon and Phyl's game only (basically means Jon gets a win removed).
| |
Jon Stitcher Sorry again, but my defeat to Jamie should also count as a draw as we were under the same misapprehension. Assuming Jamie doesn't object of course.
Adam Finlay Any more tie-break games that people feel contain injustice?
Callum Todd if tie-breaks are meant to be draws then thsese two of mine should be draws:
| |
Dave Noble If tie break games are supposed to be draws then http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1449994 should be a draw
Jon Stitcher Argh, this has opened up a can of worms and is totally my fault. For some reason Jamie and I thought that a game finishing level after 9 rounds was classed as a draw which happened between us. I then told Phyl the same when our game finished the same however Adam has made it clear that they are not meant to be draws. Just me being an idiot.
Adam Finlay They are not meant to be draws. These games are fine as they are.
| |
George Ford just delete the whole thing and start again
Michael Cullen http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1454250

Sean D Are we kicking off the knockout phase any time soon?
Adam Finlay I gave extra time to those who haven't completed any games due to me not giving a week's warning like I said I would. However, no more games have been completed, and nobody has tried to get these completed so will probably try and get the knockout phase going by the end of the day. Sorry for the delay, Sean!
Jim B Heh, missed qualification by one point! Wonder what would've happened if Dave had turned up? Best of luck Ian, anyway!
Ian Volante Hard luck Jim, very unfortunate.
Adam Finlay Very unfortunate Jim :( Hope to you see at the next one and hopefully there won't be any unreliable players! |
