Adam Finlay

Adam Finlay First point to make about this is: I had no idea this would show up right away. The group stages will commence on the 3rd February (when this room closes). It's rather far away, I shall remind everyone one the 26th. Sorry for the very long wait!

Adam Finlay Since this is getting increasingly popular, I'm gonna say the cut off will be 32 as anymore than that would be ridic and hard for me to handle!

Transude Transude

Transude Transude Is 'best losers' done by Challonge's ranking - i.e. 1st wins-losses-ties, then set wins, then points? Or by another means?

Adam Finlay

Adam Finlay Another means which I could have programmed into Challonge had I added sets instead of planting two games into one set.

The method is Wins.Points where a Win on Challonge counts as two Wins and a tie just one.

Should be made clearer by my trustee Spreadsheet:

Tourney round: The Big Aegilops Bash: Sign Up Room

Group Stage >>

Notes from the organizer: Hello! Welcome to the sign up room for the Aegilops tourney. As previously stated in the ticket for this tourney, people who sign up will be split up into separate groups (randomly). Each contestant will then play the other players within the group twice in Aegilops 9, once as Player 1 and once as Player 2. After all games are complete, the leader of each group plus an extra amount of best losers in order to get a total of 8 will play off in a knock-out phase, with the 8th seed playing the 1st, the 7th playing the 2nd and so on. The Knock-out phase will consist of Aegilops 15 games, where the better seed will be Player 1. It is yet undecided when the final would be and in what format (be it a triple whammy of LA, NA and CA or just Aegilops 15 again) but hopefully it'll be one to watch and will be at a particular time so spectators can join! Thanks for joining in this wonderful tourney, enjoy yourselves and good luck! :)
Feel free to ask questions, I shall be posting when the random selection process will be nearer the time!
