Rhys Benjamin 26. | |
Marcus Hares Will there be specific dates when matches should be played or will it be a case of playing at times that suit both players? I am hoping to put on some more live tournaments over the next couple of weeks but I don't want it to clash with this.
Rhys Benjamin The slightly more traditional "you have a week" type-thing.
Jen Steadman Is this actually happening?
Rhys Benjamin Yes. | |
Rhys Benjamin Red Team:

Rhys Benjamin Come on; get a move on!
James Hurrell mailed Kieran but he doesn't seen to have played any game at all since 23/8
Rhys Benjamin He was "last seen" yesterday, though.
Kieran Bray It seems I overlooked your email, James, I do apologise. I've been extremely busy lately with one thing or another, so apterous is of course not one of my priorities atm. I'll endeavour to get this game completed asap although I can't say for sure when I'll be available right now.
Paul Smith I'm sorry, I completely forgot I had a match to play and haven't logged in for ages - have aptomailed my opp.
James Hall So what's happened to this?
Eoin M Well it is Rhys | |
Rhys Benjamin I did send out notifications but I fear the emails didn't get sent.
Tracey Mills I haved emailed Andrew Gedney but no response from him

Rhys Benjamin They were automatically put through as the Mathematics didn't add up.
James Hurrell Kieran is exceptionally busy and is rarely around for a game - unfortunately I am now on holiday until 3rd Nov.
Kieran Bray I will soon have some extra time so I hope to catch you then James. Sorry about the hold up.
Rhys Benjamin I accidentally removed the James/Kieran match and can't change it back - so notify me here if it does get played. Then I can change it back.
Miriam Nussbaum My opponent appears to have left apterous, not having been seen for ~3 months. |
Notes from the organizer: he inaugural (I believe) team event that will take place will (hopefully) run between 03 September 2012 and 14 October 2012 for 6 weeks. I am aiming for any number up to 64. It is important that there is an even number of participants otherwise I will have to intervene.
The point of having an even number of participants is so that they will be randomly split into 2 teams (Red and Blue unless I can think of anything better). The team with the most points wins.
Points system:
Winner: 12 points
Runner up: 10 points
Semi-Finalists: 8 points each
Quarter-Finalists: 5 points each
Round of 16: 1 point each
Round of 32/64: 0 points.
Par exemple, if Persons A and B are the only people left on the Red Team and persons C & D are on the blue team. A & C are drawn to play in the semi final and A wins, and B beats D as well, then A beats B in the final, Reds would have 22 points from the semi final and final and the Blues would have 16.
Please check back on the forum topic.
Ran from: 3 September – 14 October 2012. Format: 9 Rounder. Matches: One-off. Approved.
Fixtures: 11. Completed: 6.
Key. Green: winner. Red: loser. Grey: tie. (Stripes: provisional, match in progress.)
