Johnny Canuck The next quarter-final to be unlocked is #2 vs #7, which pits T-Cap against... er... R-Mil? Good luck to both of you.

Johnny Canuck Kudos to both Zarte and Thomas for sweeping through their quarter-finals, and hearty commiserations to their opponents. This means that the first semi-final can be set. Take it away, TC and ZS.

Tourney round: Mind the Gap: Climbing Overground

<< May the Gap Be With You | The End is Nigh >>

Notes from the organizer: Aaaaaand at long last, voilĂ ... the Mind the Gap finals bracket! However, at this point, the tourney's name becomes a misnomer. There are no more gaps to be minded (mound?). You have been seeded very loosely -- and it was partially INTENDED to be loose to create more chaos -- according to your abilities to mind them in the past. All that remains is to fight to the bitter end in Another Frakkin' Single-Elimination Tournament.

As stated prior to the first round of the tourney, the formula for calculating everyone's finals-bracket seedings is as follows: (T1)/2 + T2 + T3 + T4, where T1 through T4 are the tables on which the contestants were placed in Rounds 1 through 4 respectively. Ties in the final seedings are broken by the margins of victory/defeat achieved by the players in the FINAL preliminary round of matches ("Four Ever After"), with people who played all their games sorted above people who missed one.

All finals-stage matches except the grand final, which is (as stated earlier) a 14-rounder, will be posted in this "round". They will be added to the list as soon as possible after both of their contestants are confirmed.

Well done to all nineteen of our remaining contestants for having moved this tourney along so smoothly during the previous two months. If you lose, don't feel down on yourselves; think of it as a release from those obligations. Take it away, all.

Haven't fixed a formal deadline for these matches, because they're pretty much continuous, but I'd like each of them to be played within a week of their posting. I'll be Aptomailing y'all tonight.
