Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck Round Three now open. Take it away.

Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck And just like that, Table 1 becomes Table Done. Exceptional kudos to Robert M for managing both a max game and the second highest nine-less score theoretically possible.

I'm afraid I'm not sure I'm ever going to be arsed to put up a results spreadsheet, sorry... Google Docs refuses to copy and paste the fancy formatting that I had in the first table and I would have to spend half an hour applying it again.

Thomas Carey

Thomas Carey FWIW, Callum Todd got the highest possible 9-less score against me at COLIN X.

Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck Table 5 is done and dusted, as is table 6, whose completion flew under my radar (which was admittedly clouded by a hectic school schedule). Three matches left, and yet three tables. Knock 'em off by the end of Monday and you're good to go

Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck Round 4 pairings to be up this evening (BST). No bottom-of-the-table placings for anyone.

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre Ah shit. Apologies for not playing my last one. Going up to see CoC being filmed made me totally forget

Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck Yeah, no problem. In my opinion, witnessing the Second Coming of the CoC is a valid excuse for pretty much anything.

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre ...*stifles immature giggle*

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre The tourney game came up when we both logged in - so we played it. Can this count, or not?

Johnny Canuck

Johnny Canuck Sure, what the hey.

Tourney round: Mind the Gap: Phase III

<< Part Deux | Four Ever After >>

Notes from the organizer: Here are the fixtures for the third round; good luck to all who have games here. Sorry to bore you, but I need to make a few quick administrative notes before we get down to business.

Two former members of the tourney have now withdrawn from it due to external commitments. As a result Table 7 has been dissolved and the player who would ordinarily be on it will receive a bye through this round and will be placed on a table near the middle (overall gap of 0) for the next round. (Why not replace them with Prune? Because we'd end up with a Prune v Prune match.) Sorry if this decision is unfair, it's just I only found out about the second withdrawal a few hours ago and I had to make a fast, fair decision about what to do. The player in question will be notified, and he (or anyone else) can appeal the decision by commenting here if they think it's unfair.

In addition to the above resignations, one match from Table 5 of Part Deux was unplayed. However, once again, both players posted in Aptomail and stated they would try to be present. Thus, it has been treated as another neutral 0-0 tie.

Thanks to all who have participated. The deadline for this round is midnight BST, Monday/Tuesday 23/24 November 2015. An extension to midnight Thursday/Friday 26/27 November will be granted to players who ask for it in Aptomail BEFORE the original deadline.

Happy gappin' to all.

Ran from: 9 – 23 November 2015. Format: 9 Rounder. Matches: One-off. Approved.
