Callum Todd Sign-ups now open for anyone wishing to enter or re-enter the league from the 16th cycle onwards.
Callum Todd And as stated in the notes, no need to sign-up here if you're already involved in aptotude. Sign-ups are just intended for people not already involved to enter the league system.
Callum Todd Tracey, no need for you to sign-up to this as you're already part of the Aptotude League so will automatically be included here anyway :)
Tracey Mills Thanks Callum :)
James Laverty Tracey "Overeager" Mills
Tracey Mills :) | |
Callum Todd Just under a week until kick-off! New sign-ups always welcome if anyone wants to give the aptotude league a try.
Callum Todd Last day for new entries! Keep the sign-up coming :)
Callum Todd And we're off! Thanks to everyone taking part, please feel free to direct any queries my way. The divisions are as follows:

Callum Todd And we're off! Thanks to everyone taking part, please feel free to direct any queries my way. The divisions are as follows:
| |
Callum Todd Division 7:
| |
Callum Todd And the tables:
| |
Peter Fenton For some reason, my fixtures and Jojo's fixtures seem to have been swapped round. He should be in division 6 and I should be in division 7.
Callum Todd You're right. Sorry, not sure how that happened. Fixed it now.
Callum Todd Good progress so far, thanks to everyone who's getting their games played. There's been some great contests so far, including an amazing three ties!
| |
Matthew Brockwell I there should be 11x28=308 games here: not sure which are missing.
Callum Todd There were 308, but a player who had 4 games remaining has been removed.
Matthew Brockwell Ok, thanks for that.
Ray Wilding 4 of Les Tufnell's games are missing
Ray Wilding Oh, nvm | |
Callum Todd Just a refresher on the links for the tables:
| |
Callum Todd Tables updated. If you notice any fixtures before the time of this comment (other than four certain games in Division 8) are missing/incorrect on the Challonge tables, please let me know and I'll fix it :)
Callum Todd Thanks to Jack Worsley, who is the first player to have played all of their fixtures for this cycle. He has a 6-1 record, which puts him in pole position for the title.
| |
Callum Todd We're getting to nearly half way through the duration of this cycle but still a bit off half of the fixtures played. Please can people start thinking now about organising times to play fixtures, as if you haven't bumped into each other online by chance by now, you might not do so too often in the next two weeks.
Adam Finlay Rhys Benjamin hasn't been seen since nearly a month ago... something tells me he's not gonna be playing his matches.
Jamie M Eoin and Matt in our league are now trial members too, so that might be a problem unless they're rejoining. (Btw my game against Matthew T has been but as being against Matt C. Cheers)
Callum Todd Yeah a few absentees in particular may be the cause of the low % of games played but still I think a huge difference could be made by people organising their games.
| |
Matt OC Callum, me and Andrew still have the unplayed round 15 game. We tried playing it but it wouldn't work. Can you delete it?. Thanks
Callum Todd Hi Matt, sorry but there's no option for me to delete the game. I believe there's some kind of bug with tourney games atm as I have a similar problem. I'll make a ticket about it in a second.
Jonas Bush Knocked out 2 just now, I only have 2 left. So close to a win on that second one, very good game Martin.
Callum Todd It's now official: Jack Worsley will be crowned aptotude champion for this cycle. Nice work Jack!
Martin Long Well done Jack! :-)
Callum Todd A refresher of the league tables, fully up to date at the time of this message:
| |
Callum Todd Only one week left to get the unplayed games done now and there are still a worryingly high number of them. I'll be sending round aptomails shortly to try shift things on a bit and let people know where they stand with unplayed games.
| |
Jack Worsley Thanks both!

George Ford FINISHED ALL GAMES CHIEF WELL DONE JACK
Callum Todd Indeed you have George, thanks for that. It looks very likely that you will be promoted into Division 6 for the next cycle.
Jonas Bush Just finished getting my butt kicked, only 1 game left for me.
James Laverty Done and dusted for you Callum
Callum Todd Last day! There's been a good surge of fixtures getting played this last week but those that remained unplayed beyond midnight tonight will be decided by the unplayed games system, so please try get as many as possible done today. |
Notes from the organizer: As announced on the 15th Cycle page (http://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=1297), I will be running the 16th Cycle of the Apto-tude league while Zarte takes a break from apterous.
The rules are the same as they were in the 15th Cycle so draws are still possible, etc.
Any enquiries relating to this cycle please direct to me. I'll the strive to answer them as well as possible.
Good luck to everyone taking part!
P.S. no need to sign up here if you're already part of the league system (i.e. if you took part in the 15th cycle).
